You have the courage to seek help. You’re doing the best you can. You already know with counseling, your life can be so much better.

What does the counseling process look like?

The counseling process is designed to help you understand and empower you to live your best life, free of the triggers and traumatic memories that hold you back. Together, with your therapist, you will learn how to address the things that trigger you. Learn coping skills to do at home, and ways to reduce the physical symptoms of constant stress and worry.

The first session will be approximately 60 minutes. There will be paperwork to complete and questions the therapist will ask to get to know you, your history, and your present situation. The second session (and all remaining will be 50-55 minutes long). In the second session, we use our unique formula for goal-setting. You will get a chance to connect the desires of your goals with your heart and deeper desires in this life. The remainder of the sessions will then be working on skills to tackle your memories and any obstacles in the way of you living your best life.

In order to see lasting results, a commitment to at least 8 weekly sessions is best. We are flexible and can work with different situations. However, to make an impact, it is important to recognize that change of any kind, requires attention and time. After your 8 sessions, you can work with your therapist to determine the next steps (reducing therapy to biweekly/monthly or terminating).

How much does therapy cost?

What will the first session be like?2023-10-25T02:13:43-05:00

The first session lasts approximately 60 minutes. You’ll have paperwork to complete virtually before your session. The therapist will spend time introducing themselves and getting to know you, your story and your dreams. At the end, you’ll have the option to schedule your next session based upon your availability and goals. There is no pressure to book another session. We’re here for you to come and go as you need.
FOR MINORS UNDER 18: If the session is for a child 12 years or younger, the first session is just with the therapist and parent (s) or guardian. If the client is 12-18, we ask that a parent (or guardian) attend the first session for the first 10-15 minutes. The parent will be able to meet the therapist and help make the child feel comfortable.
PLEASE NOTE: Please share any concerns about your child with the therapist or Intake Team prior to the session— not in front of your child in the session. This is to protect your child and foster a positive start to therapy!

What will all the other sessions be like?2023-10-25T02:14:39-05:00

The second session is our unique formula for goal setting. In this session, your therapist will help you connect and understand what your heart really wants in this life. The remainder of the sessions will then be working on skills to tackle any obstacles in the way of you living your best life. In order to see lasting results, a commitment to at least 8 weekly sessions is recommended. However, we are flexible and can work with you to accommodate your schedule and goals.

FOR MINORS UNDER 18: Parents will not be required to attend the sessions but must be available for the last 10 minutes of the session in case the therapist would like to touch base with you or for any scheduling changes.

You're invited!!! Wednesday, June 26 at 9am at 911 Church Street, Evanston.

and will be led by Mayor Biss to celebrate Evanston's newest mental health facility.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to tour the beautiful new build out, as the practice is open by appointment only.

Located in the old Urban Outfitters building, right by the AMC Theater, Egg Harbor and Sky Zone. The space is a brand new build out, boasting 12 beautiful offices, in the heart of downtown Evanston.

All are welcome to help with the Grand Opening and supporting mental health.
While it's only June, we're hearing from many students (and parents!) that the transition to college this fall is already on their minds. It's a big transition for everyone in the family.

It’s natural to feel overwhelmed by the unknowns, such as making new friends, handling academic pressures, and living independently for the first time.

This summer is a great time to set up your college student for success.

One effective way to ease this transition is by preparing as much as possible before the move.

Experienced therapist, Megan O'Brien, wrote some quick tips for how to help prep for the transition to college. As a former college counselor, she knows support provides a huge benefit to make the most of college years. The transitions in college lead students to feel overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, and isolated.

She's helped students cope with emotions to meet academic pressures, work, and family demands. She's also assisted students in their future career success with personal, professional, academic, and financial guidance. Together, she sets goals and celebrated progress with regular check-ins to stay on track.

Inspire company summer meeting & party!!

We had friends from all 4 offices (Lake Forest, Northbrook, Kenilworth & Evanston) come together!!

Therapist spend most of their career alone, behind closed doors with clients. While that’s the thing we love to do most, it’s good for the soul to get out of the office, hang out and just have some FUN together as a team!!!

These therapists are absolutely amazing and we are always looking for ways to show them how appreciated they are here!!!

Very early on in the business, I decided that the very best thing I could do is to take good care of my employees, so they can take good care of their clients. While I’m not perfect, I honestly love my team and work hard every day to make Inspire a great place to work!!

Plus, Therapists are some of the most fun and interesting people to hang out with!! Open-minded, non-judgmental, warm, kind and considerate humans are my favorite ❤️

To my Inspire team - I love you!!!!! Thank you for choosing us to share your beautiful gifts & talents with our communities.

I will work harder every day for you so you can continue serving our beautiful communities.

College kids transition to home for summer is a big one!!

Going from the bustling life of college back to the rhythms of home for the summer can be both refreshing and challenging for many students (and parents!). Freedom, routines and social connections are changed overnight.

Daily routines change from dynamic schedules filled with classes, social activities, and perhaps part-time jobs to home life, which might feel slower-paced and more predictable.

Social dynamics change from college friends and dating to reconnecting with High School friends who might have had different experiences.

We have TONS of support for parents and college students in this transition. Including a former college counselor, Megan O'Brien.

Check out these tips from Megan to help everyone survive & thrive in this summer transition.
