Parents — if your child is in therapy, did you know, there's a simple way to maximize their success?

Meet with their therapist for a daytime parenting session!

💬 If your child is comfortable with you meeting with their therapist, these sessions can be a powerful way to align support at home and maximize your child’s progress.

Daytime parent sessions (while kids are in school) are designed to help you:
🌱Get support directly from your child’s therapist
🌱Learn practical tools for home
🌱Better understand your child’s needs, behaviors, and emotions
🌱Strengthen the progress your child is already making
🌱Feel more confident in how you’re supporting their growth

✨ Most insurance plans cover parent sessions
✨ You do not need to be a therapy client yourself
✨ These appointments are focused entirely on your child’s success
✨ Many therapists have time open during the day for parenting sessions

You don’t have to figure this out alone. Supporting the parent supports the child.

You want the best for your kids. We do, too. We're stronger when we work together!

If you're interested in scheduling your daytime parenting session, call or text (847) 919-9096.

Ever wish you could hit “reset” before the day is over?

Consider booking a "lunch date" with your therapist!

✨ Lunchtime or daytime therapy appointments can make it easier to care for your mental health in real time — not just after the day has already taken everything out of you.

🕛 Lunchtime and daytime therapy sessions can help you:
🌿 Take a pause in the middle of the day
🌿Process stress while it’s happening
🌿Head back to work feeling clearer, lighter, and more grounded
🌿Talk through stress as it comes up
🌿Avoid carrying emotional weight all day
🌿Use your lunch break for actual self-care
🌿Protect your evenings for rest, family, or fun

Therapy doesn’t have to live at the end of your day. Sometimes, the most powerful reset happens right in the middle.

In-Person and Virtual sessions available! Book your "lunch date" now 😉

🌿 Living With Chronic Illness Is More Than Physical 🌿

Chronic health conditions don’t just affect your body.
They touch your emotions, identity, relationships, and sense of safety—especially during the winter months.

You might be carrying:
• Grief for the life you imagined
• Anxiety about flares, illness, or uncertainty
• Guilt for needing rest or accommodations
• Frustration when others don’t understand
• Exhaustion from simply trying to keep going

Working with a therapist can help you:
🌿 Process the grief that often goes unspoken
🌿 Separate self-worth from productivity
🌿 Cope with anxiety, depression, and medical trauma
🌿 Build tools for pain, fatigue, and unpredictability
🌿 Reconnect with who you are beyond your diagnosis

Therapy isn’t about “giving up.”
It’s about receiving support in a reality that already asks a lot of you.

✨ We recently shared a blog with gentle tips for navigating chronic illness—especially during cold and flu season.

💛Sneaky Signs of ADHD You Might Be Overlooking 💛

ADHD doesn’t always look like hyperactivity or being “bad at paying attention.”
For many people—especially teens and adults—it shows up in quieter, more confusing ways.

You might be missing ADHD if you experience:
🌿 Chronic overwhelm from “simple” tasks
🌿 Difficulty starting things—even when they matter to you
🌿 Hyperfocus on some things, but avoidance of others
🌿 Emotional intensity or quick frustration
🌿 Time blindness (everything feels now or not now)
🌿 Forgetting appointments, texts, or deadlines—despite trying hard
🌿 Feeling exhausted from keeping it all together
🌿 Relying on pressure, urgency, or anxiety to get things done
🌿 A constant sense of “I should be able to handle this”

ADHD isn’t a lack of effort, intelligence, or motivation.
It’s a difference in how the brain manages attention, emotions, and executive functioning.

✨ The good news? With the right support, ADHD becomes more manageable—and often empowering.

At Inspire Counseling Center, we offer support for ADHD across the lifespan, using evidence-based approaches that help with:
✔️ Executive functioning & organization
✔️ Emotional regulation
✔️ Self-compassion & self-esteem
✔️ Practical, real-life strategies that actually work

💛 If this resonates, you’re not alone—and help is available.
