When you’re choosing a therapist to support yourself or your family– you want (and deserve!) the best. You want to find the best fit, someone who understands you and has the skills to support whatever challenges you’re facing. You should feel confident in the professional serving you, or your family. You want to see results! You want your life and your family’s life to improve.
If you’re looking for a therapist, don’t miss out on the opportunity to work with a Clinical Intern. There are several benefits and perks to working with a Clinical Intern, including:
- Clinical Interns have earned an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology and are currently attending Graduate School for a Counseling Degree. Graduate programs typically consist of two years of rigorous classwork and studies, followed by a Clinical Internship for 9 months to one year in which they apply their coursework and studies with clients in order to complete their degree.
- Clinical Interns are fresh to the field, eager, excited and passionate to help you see results
- Clinical Interns carry smaller caseloads, which allows for more personalized attention and care
- Clinical Interns are up-to-date on the most recent clinical interventions and research from their graduate studies, which can lead to innovative approaches to therapy
- Clinical Interns receive significantly more supervision to ensure quality outcomes for their clients. They receive supervision from their graduate school, in addition to weekly individual and group supervision at Inspire. Their experienced supervisors empower the Clinical Intern with evidence-based tools and interventions with their clients
- Many of our Clinical Interns come with decades of life experience, which brings real-world understanding of life’s challenges and rewards with success, career, family, relationships, disabilities, marriage, divorce, financial stress and just about everything else in-between.
- Research shows that Clinical Interns get excellent outcomes with their clients
- Inspire’s Clinical Intern’s are carefully reviewed, interviewed and chosen to be part of the Inspire team, long term. We are extremely selective and only choose Clinical Interns who show a promise for a long-term relationship at Inspire and those who plan to continue working at Inspire long after their internship is over.
Inspire is dedicated to serving you and the community … and that means investing and training new clinicians with a Clinical Internship Program! We are proud to offer a state-of-the-art Clinical Internship Program for Master’s Level graduate students.
Our Clinical Internship Program is led our Program Director, Joe Tranchita. Joe has 17+ years of experience in a variety of settings including: Residential, Group Home, Therapeutic Day Schools, Inpatient Psychiatric Hospitals, IOP (intensive outpatient programs), Community Mental Health Centers, and Private Practice.
In addition to clinical work, Joe was a Graduate-Level Adjunct Professor in clinical mental health for eight (8) years. Joe is passionate about teaching and educating clinicians. While he’s a wealth of knowledge and experience, he’s also kind, funny, down-to-earth and approachable.
