You are smart. You are accomplished. Most people probably have no idea that you wrestle with constant worry, or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Maybe you’re not sure if you or your loved one actually has OCD or not.

Our therapists are trained in several types of therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). ERP is a specialized type of CBT designed to help individuals with anxiety and OCD. ERP involves understanding and confronting anxiety-causing thoughts and situations. This process can help reduce anxiety, uncomfortable physical symptoms, and harmful coping habits.

In a world of rapidly rising anxiety rates. We have experienced professionals who have worked with clients and families with severe symptoms, and diagnoses including generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, phobias, selective mutism, and hoarding disorder.

While it may be scary at first, we will work hard to establish a trusting environment where you feel empowered to challenge your anxieties. Our therapists have seen results from ERP therapy to help clients significantly improve their lives and do things they once thought were impossible.

Signs of OCD

People with OCD struggle with unwanted thoughts, called obsessions, that make them feel anxious or uncomfortable. To try to ease these feelings, they may feel the need to perform certain actions or rituals, called compulsions, over and over again. These actions are meant to prevent something bad from happening, but they often don’t make sense or are excessive.

Some common signs of OCD include:

  • Repetitive behaviors: Performing the same actions or rituals over and over, like washing hands, checking things multiple times, or arranging items in a specific order.
  • Intrusive thoughts: Having unwanted, disturbing thoughts or fears that are hard to control, like worrying that something bad will happen if a certain action isn’t done.
  • Avoidance: Avoiding situations or places that might trigger anxiety or compulsions, like certain numbers, places, or activities.
  • Excessive cleaning or organizing: Feeling the need to keep things perfectly clean or arranged in a specific way.
  • Time-consuming routines: Spending a lot of time on rituals or checking things, which can interfere with daily activities or responsibilities.
