I am a Chicago native, mom of two recent Lake Forest Academy graduates, and a former advertising and marketing professional. I am passionate about counseling and maintain an optimistic view on each person’s ability to reach their full potential in all areas of their lives.

I pride myself on being an authentic, empathetic, and understanding person. I am both creative and analytical, thriving in an environment of interpersonal connection and open communication. I am dedicated to impacting positive change, engaging mindfulness practice, and achieving personal growth. Working together, I look forward to creating a plan to help you achieve your goals, find your inner strength, harmonize with your voice, and enhance your overall wellbeing and happiness in life.

In my role as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, I work with adults across the lifespan. I collaborate with my clients to achieve their mental health goals through a flexible, holistic, strengths-based psychodynamic approach. I use a variety of evidence-based interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and the Gottman Method, as well as person-centered and neuroscience based therapies. I currently hold certifications in Cultural Somatics and Psychological First Aid.

Corporate Experience & Career Pivot

With a background in Theater and Creative Writing, I received my undergraduate degree from Miami of Ohio in Mass Communication, Advertising and Marketing. Presently, I attend Northwestern University for my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

Prior to becoming a counselor, I enjoyed a successful 20+ year career in advertising and marketing having worked at DDB Worldwide, Paramount Pictures, and Blue Dog Agency. As a Vice President at DDB Worldwide I learned the importance of managing not only Fortune 500 client relationships, but also those of my immediate team and interdepartmental collaborators. As an entrepreneur, co-founder and COO of Blue Dog Agency, I learned how to take calculated risks and navigate uncharted territory in order to actualize my vision.

While I thoroughly enjoyed my marketing career, I now realize my true calling lies in empowering others to navigate the complexities of life through positive mental health.

Women’s Issues

As a working woman and mother, I’ve learned first-hand the challenges faced in today’s world of juggling life’s myriad responsibilities. In my professional career I’ve navigated being a woman in a male dominated field, becoming the youngest female Vice President at one of the world’s top advertising agencies. Thus, I I know full well that it is a struggle to find balance while working, running a home, parenting kids, and volunteering as a member of the community, all while trying to take care of oneself.

In my experience raising my own boys, I am grateful to have worked closely with caring, empathetic, knowledgeable counselors who supported me on my journey as I learned how to best meet my boys’ ever-changing academic and social-emotional needs. Specifically, we encountered many facets of neurodiversity, learning how to navigate and overcome their challenges.

The pressures and expectations on ourselves and our families can feel overwhelming. From relationship stress to life’s transitions, I understand these challenges both personally and professionally and am committed to empowering my clients to achieve self actualization and personal fulfillment.

For Fun…

I love traveling and exploring new cultures and cuisines. I enjoy thoughtful conversations with friends, reading books, watching movies, and spending time in nature walking my dog. I love theater and music, as well as museums of all types. I believe that we are all capable of growth and we all deserve grace.
