Autism Spectrum Disorders, neurobehavioral disorders (ADHD, DMDD, ODD), anxiety disorders, school refusal, physiologic illnesses, and mood disorders including mood and anxiety disorder-related hallucinations and delusions. (Also supporting parents and family members of individuals with these conditions).
As a North Shore mom for more than 20 years, I have extensive experience —professionally and personally –navigating the healthcare and education system for my own children with developmental and behavioral disorders.
Before becoming a therapist, I was an early childhood pre-primary impaired teacher. I took a parenting hiatus to support my kids and equip them with solid social, emotional coping skills, along with the right teams of support for them physically and academically. My passion now, as a therapist, is empowering other families to come together and thrive through challenges.
My greatest joy comes from finding and nurturing qualities in kids and adults that have behaviors that others find challenging. I believe support has to include the entire family, empowering parents, kids and siblings. I try to work collaboratively with everyone I meet.
If you work with me, you’ll find I’m knowledgeable, flexible, kind, caring, and fun. I am a recovering housewife with southern roots and you might be offered a beverage and a snack during your time in the office. I was born in New Orleans, raised in Michigan, and have been a resident of the North Shore for more than 20 years.
I live on the North Shore with my husband of 21 years and our three children. In my free time, I like participating in congregate music (choir and orchestra), spending time with my family and friends, entertaining at home, art appreciation, and exercising just enough to get by.
If you are overwhelmed, desperate, terrified, and feel alone, please come in and see me.
