Hi and welcome! I’ve called Evanston my home for more than 30 years. I am thrilled to support this community. I love the richness of Evanston, and understand the rewards and challenges of this town firsthand.

I’m also seasoned therapist committed to creating a warm, safe non-judgmental space where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings. I’ve worked in a variety of settings, including private & pubic schools, partial hospital and intensive outpatient settings, in addition to private practices. I know the power of working collaboratively with teams, parents, schools, and doctors — to best support each person.

I love humor and believe that laughter can be the best medicine. In fact, I’m attending a course at Second City to be trained on using improv for anxiety!

My approach is founded on compassion, collaboration, and authenticity. I value and honor the therapeutic alliance because it is in this relationship where growth, resilience, and meaningful change occurs. I believe my responsibility as your therapist is to provide you with the tools for your personal growth and fulfillment. I have extensive experience with a lot of different therapeutic interventions and tool. I tailor my approach for each person to provide the best results. I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and expressive arts techniques.

Through empathy (and humor!), I seek to engage my clients in identifying their strengths, exploring healthy coping skills, challenging the narratives that no longer serve them, so that they can improve their relationship with themselves and others.

Adolescents & Young Adults

I love working with adolescents! Being a guide to young adults and adolescents has enriched my outlook on the world and I’m constantly uplifted by their creativity, dreams, and goals.

It’s been an honor to help them overcome difficult life transitions, friendship challenges, avoiding or difficulty in the classroom, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and traumatic events. I’ve helped many adolescents suffering from ADHD, ASD, Executive Functioning, OCD and Panic Disorders.

The adolescent years are such a critical time for shaping character, resilience and the tools they learn during these formative years are ones that help throughout their entire adult life.

Woman’s Issues

As a wife of nearly 30 years and a parent to a college-age adult, I know firsthand about the rewards and challenges of being a mother, partner and woman.

Women have such a unique feminine power which impacts everyone around them. I love helping women find their voice, feminine power and thrive. Not only does it improve their life, but all those they love .

LGBTQIA+

I am passionate about supporting the LGBTQIA community. As a mother to a non-binary college student, I have learned firsthand about the importance of growing, becoming, and speaking one’s truth.

Not only do I love helping people on their journey, I am uniquely equipped to support parents of transgender and non-conforming kids.

If you choose me to support you in your journey, please know you will be met with open, affirming compassion.

Trauma

I am a trauma-informed therapist with experience supporting clients in all life stages. When a tramatic event happens, it impacts every person in a unique way. I understand

I use a warm and open approach that allows me to meet each individual where they are and use the best tools I have for each session with that client.

For Fun…

Outside of the office, you can find me at home with my husband and our lovable, spoiled dog Boomer. I love to travel, dream of going everywhere, reading, and am working on becoming a confident open water swimmer!
