As a Marriage and Family Therapist returning to Lake Forest, I am excited to serve the community that shaped my early experiences. Growing up here, I navigated the typical ups and downs of adolescence as well as some significant challenges, including the loss of a parent and a blended family.

During these years I worked with a counselor at LFHS, and discovered the value of supportive, healthy relationships through counseling. I believe that everyone deserves compassionate support on their mental health journey. Together, we will work to identify your core goals and navigate through difficulties in a safe, validating space. Clients can expect clear communication and a bit of humor in our sessions. I believe in establishing a strong trusting bond with my clients, ensuring to honor your unique journey in the process.

I hold a Masters in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles. While working toward my degree, I practiced at a non-profit organization, Richstone Family Center. I was given the opportunity to work with individuals, couples, and families from a wide range of demographics and challenges. I welcome all clients seeking support, regardless of their background.

Adolescents

My experience of counseling in high school helped shape who I am today. Having a safe, healthy, and supportive person to help guide me through life’s challenges was invaluable. I am honored to now be able to offer that same experience to other adolescents. Today’s kids face a unique and overwhelming set of stressors—from constant screen time and social media pressure to academic demands, identity exploration, and the impact of an ever-changing world. I strive to create a space where adolescents feel truly heard and understood, helping them navigate emotions, build confidence, and develop coping skills that support both their mental health and their sense of self

Individuals
At Inspire, I provide professional counseling for individuals, couples, and families. My credentials in Marriage and Family Therapy allow me to view issues through both individual and systemic lenses, considering the importance of family and significant relationships. My therapeutic approach is primarily through Narrative Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy, with integration of alternative methods when needed in order to ensure comprehensive treatment tailored to your needs.

Couples
For couples, I employ Emotionally Focused Therapy, which pays attention to core feelings and attachments, treating the relationship itself, or your bond as the client. Using this approach with externalizing your problems through Narrative Therapy, we can strengthen the bond between you and your partner. My goal is to explore your past experiences and current dynamics to enhance the well-being of your relationship.

Families
For families, I practice Bowenian and Structural Family Therapies, which focus on eliminating negative emotional patterns and anxiety by restoring bonds, understanding intergenerational patterns, forming healthy boundaries and establishing more functional roles within the family.
If you are seeking professional support, I invite you to reach out. Taking this step is commendable, I look forward to collaborating with you.

For Fun…

Outside of therapy, I enjoy staying active and exploring the great outdoors. Traveling, discovering new music, and collecting vinyl records are some of my passions. I’m also embarking on a new journey of learning to sew—if you have any tips, I’d love to hear them!
