“Your life doesn’t get better by chance, it gets better by change.”
Hi, I’m Jen.
I work with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, relationship challenges, and those quietly overwhelming life transitions—when everything feels a little uncertain, unsteady, or unfamiliar. I’m especially passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ clients and anyone in the process of discovering—or rediscovering—who they are.
My path to becoming a therapist is rooted in my own experiences with change, healing, and growth. I’ve always been drawn to understanding human behavior and building meaningful connections. Through my own life’s transitions—through love, loss, parenting, and professional reinvention—I’ve come to understand just how powerful it is to have a safe space to process, reflect, and find your footing again. That’s the kind of space I now strive to create for my clients.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in technology and customer service, and even ran a small t-shirt and jeans shop in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood. That shop became so much more than retail—it was a place for connection. People came in during breakups, before big dates, or in the middle of reinvention. Those small, real conversations showed me how deeply we all crave being seen and heard. It’s what ultimately led me to this work.
My diverse career background gives me a unique lens on the real-life challenges people face—whether it’s navigating big decisions, managing burnout, or finding your way through major transitions. I bring real-world experience with communication, empathy, and problem-solving into the therapy room, along with clinical training in Mental Health Counseling.
As a therapist, I’m collaborative, grounded, and human. I draw from person-centered, CBT, and psychoanalytic approaches, but mostly, I show up with warmth, curiosity, and no judgment. Whether you’re struggling with perfectionism, low self-worth, relationship stress, or just feeling stuck—we’ll move at your pace, in your way.
I’m also a parent, a music lover, and someone who feels most at home in nature. Live music—especially blues—always brings me back to center.
Therapy, to me, is about getting curious about yourself. It’s about unlearning old patterns, finding your voice again, and learning to listen to your needs, pain, and joy. I believe healing starts when we begin to build a more compassionate relationship with ourselves. The longest—and most important—relationship you’ll ever have is the one you have within.
If you’re reading this…
You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. If you’re feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or just ready to feel more like you again—I’d be honored to meet you right where you are.
