Hi! I’m Maddie. I grew up in Illinois and still proudly call it home today. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience from Edgewood University in Madison, WI, and later completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology: Counseling Practice from Roosevelt University in Chicago.
Before joining Inspire, I gained diverse experiences as a Registered Behavioral Technician working with kids on the Autism Spectrum, a Psychometrician, administering neuropsychological assessments for individuals navigating ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional challenges, etc. and finally, working closely with sexual assault survivors at Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center.
These experiences shaped my approach and deepened my understanding of people and my approach as a therapist. As a Registered Behavioral Technician supporting children on the Autism Spectrum—I strengthened my patience, empathy, and ability to celebrate progress in all its forms. I also spent over two years as a Psychometrician, administering neuropsychological assessments for individuals navigating ADHD, learning disabilities, and other cognitive or emotional challenges.
At Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center in Gurnee, I supported survivors of sexual assault as they rediscovered their voice and sense of safety. Each of these experiences continues to influence the way I show up for my clients today—with openness, compassion, and deep respect for every story I have the privilege to hear.
My path toward becoming a therapist is also deeply personal. I’ve faced my own experiences with trauma, depression, and anxiety—both as an adolescent and as a young adult. I know how difficult it can be to start therapy, and I also know how meaningful it is to feel truly heard, supported, and understood in that space. My mission is to make each client feel warmly accepted, respected, heard and comfortable wherever they are in their journey.
In my work, I take a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, meeting clients exactly where they are. My goal is to create an environment that feels safe, authentic, and free of judgment—a space where clients can explore emotions, develop self-compassion, and move forward at their own pace. I strive to bring warmth, humor, and genuineness into every session so clients feel seen, valued, and empowered to grow.
