Hi! I’m Maddie. I grew up in Illinois and still proudly call it home today. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology with a minor in Neuroscience from Edgewood University in Madison, WI, and later completed my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology: Counseling Practice from Roosevelt University in Chicago.

Before joining Inspire, I gained diverse experiences as a Registered Behavioral Technician working with kids on the Autism Spectrum, a Psychometrician, administering neuropsychological assessments for individuals navigating ADHD, learning disabilities, emotional challenges, etc. and finally, working closely with sexual assault survivors at Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center.

These experiences shaped my approach and deepened my understanding of people and my approach as a therapist. As a Registered Behavioral Technician supporting children on the Autism Spectrum—I strengthened my patience, empathy, and ability to celebrate progress in all its forms. I also spent over two years as a Psychometrician, administering neuropsychological assessments for individuals navigating ADHD, learning disabilities, and other cognitive or emotional challenges.

At Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center in Gurnee, I supported survivors of sexual assault as they rediscovered their voice and sense of safety. Each of these experiences continues to influence the way I show up for my clients today—with openness, compassion, and deep respect for every story I have the privilege to hear.

My path toward becoming a therapist is also deeply personal. I’ve faced my own experiences with trauma, depression, and anxiety—both as an adolescent and as a young adult. I know how difficult it can be to start therapy, and I also know how meaningful it is to feel truly heard, supported, and understood in that space. My mission is to make each client feel warmly accepted, respected, heard and comfortable wherever they are in their journey.

In my work, I take a person-centered and trauma-informed approach, meeting clients exactly where they are. My goal is to create an environment that feels safe, authentic, and free of judgment—a space where clients can explore emotions, develop self-compassion, and move forward at their own pace. I strive to bring warmth, humor, and genuineness into every session so clients feel seen, valued, and empowered to grow.

Executive Functioning & ADHD Support

I have experience supporting clients with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and challenges related to executive functioning such as organization, planning, and emotional regulation.

I help clients build on their existing strengths and find new ways to manage daily challenges with confidence and self-compassion. Together, we’ll explore strategies that strengthen attention, build routines, and increase confidence in daily life.

My goal is to create a space that feels safe, encouraging, and empowering, where you can develop tools that truly work for you.

Teens Confidence & Relationship Stress

I have experience supporting teens who are navigating challenges with confidence, relationships, and the lasting effects of trauma. During my practicum at the Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center in Gurnee, I worked with survivors of sexual assault as they rediscovered their voice and sense of safety. These experiences continue to shape the way I show up for my clients today—with openness, compassion, and deep respect for every story I have the privilege to hear.

I can appreciate personally and professionally the challenges of trauma, depression, and anxiety. As a therapist who “gets it” I know the bravery required to try therapy, and how powerful it is to feel truly heard, supported, and understood. My mission is to create a space where every client feels warmly accepted, respected, and comfortable, no matter where they are in their journey.

For Fun…

Outside of work, I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, and hanging out with my cat, Conner. I love quiet moments, being in nature, and finding joy in the simple things. I feel truly honored to do this work and walk alongside each person who chooses to take the brave step toward healing and self-discovery.
