You’ve taken the first step to seek support, and I am so glad you did! I am here to offer you the support you deserve with compassion, care, and respect.

With over 20 years’ experience as a licensed clinical social worker, I have seen and heard just about everything. The bravery, power, and tenacity of my clients never cease to amaze me. My clients motivate me every day to keep developing and becoming better at what I do. In fact, a past client of mine once said about me,

“Jennifer is a skilled and empathetic problem-solver. She also has a remarkable capacity for deciphering and understanding what you are saying.”

If you choose to work with me, my goal is to make you feel comfortable and safe the moment you sit down.  Our sessions together will offer you a place to feel heard, understood and respected with compassion and warmth. You’ll discover new ideas, tools and perspectives to give you a fresh outlook and courage to tackle the challenges in your life.

I have known since I was very young that I wanted to work as a social worker, and it is a privilege to be able to help my clients while walking alongside them for part of their journey.

It would be my honor to provide you with that same level of care, listening, and respect. It is crucial to me that you leave our sessions feeling ready to put the “roadmap” we’ve designed and customized to meet your unique and specific needs into action. The thing that motivates me most, is seeing people like you, empowered with the right resources to enjoy the fulfilling life you deserve.

Extensive Experience and Training

Throughout my 20+ years, I have worked with a variety of clients who come from vastly different backgrounds.  I have extensive experience in several different therapeutic methods, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I work from a client-centered approach.  In other words, we will gently find the right path forward together.

Adults, Parents & Families

As a wife, mom and fellow Evanstonian, I understand –personally and professionally –the rewards and challenges families face in this community. I know the happiness of your family deeply impacts every single person in that unit. Investing in yourself, your relationships or your parenting, is an invaluable gift to impact your entire family’s daily happiness. Often we want to put others first, take care of everyone, before we take care of ourselves. That’s a beautiful thing, but you can’t water the garden with an empty watering can. Taking care of yourself is the best way to take care of everyone you love.

For Fun

When I am not working, I love spending time with family and friends, to travel and experience new cultures (and eat the local cuisine!), to watch my kids play sports, and to take leisurely walks by the lake. I appreciate having a balanced life that is centered on my rewarding career, my love of Chicago and the North Shore, and the personal connections in my life that are so significant to me.

For me, personally, I have a strong affinity for vibrant and dynamic cities, with Chicago being my favorite. After living, studying, and working on the east and west coasts, I returned with my husband to raise our family where we both grew up, because this is where our roots are strongest.

Taking the First Step

If you’re nervous, or unsure about therapy–I’m right here with you. All you need to do is take the first step. There is no manual for success. Everybody’s journey is unique, every step is special, and together we’ll create a custom plan tailored for you. In the end, I know everyone can succeed. As your therapist, I’ll be there for you at every turn. I look forward to working with you!

Please note: Jennifer will be seeing clients in the Evanston office when it opens in January 2024.  She is accepting clients virtually, along with temporary, in-person sessions at Inspire’s offices in Kenilworth and Northbrook, as space is available.
