I grew up in San Jose, California, and I now live in Highland Park. I moved to Chicago when I was 18 to attend Loyola University Chicago, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. After I graduated, I worked as a Mental Health Counselor at an inpatient psychiatric unit, where I supported adults experiencing severe mental health concerns.
From there I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University. During graduate school, I completed my clinical internship at a community mental health center, where I provided individual therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and behavioral challenges.
These experiences deepened my understanding of the importance of a strong therapeutic relationship. I have seen how feeling heard and understood can support people in navigating challenges and creating meaningful change in their lives. My approach to therapy is drawn from Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, tailoring treatment to each client’s unique goals and strengths.
As your therapist, you can expect a warm, empathetic, and nonjudgmental space grounded in authenticity, kindness, and humor. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and I am honored to support and collaborate with you as you work toward your goals.
For Fun…
