I view the therapy room as a place to take a step back to get some perspective, then take a step back into your life with that new perspective. Whatever the reason is that you’re seeking therapy, I’m here to guide you through the process and work to find an approach that works best to improve your overall well-being. Through that process we will create a safe working space where we can set goals and pave the way to achieving them.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and hold a Professional Educator’s License. In 15+ years of experience in the behavioral health field I have worked and led teams in various settings across the field including residential and group home programs, therapeutic day school, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, intensive outpatient programs, community mental health, and private practice. In addition to my clinical work, I was an adjunct professor in a clinical mental health counseling graduate program for 8 years. I primarily practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, however I believe therapy should fit the client and not fit the client to the therapy. We’ll work together to ensure the methods and approach work best for you!
I’m a Chicago native and currently residing in the northern suburbs and as an alum of Loyola Academy, DePaul University, and National-Louis University my roots are tied to the area. In my time away from work I can be found on a baseball diamond, a golf course, in the kitchen cooking, and spending quality time with my wife and our two pups.
