Nancy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Inspire Counseling Center. She has over 30 years of experience working with diverse populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her experience has spanned the full range of client ages, and she has dealt with both the medical and psychological issues that are presented at various stages of life. Nancy’s clients include accomplished individuals who are faced with anxiety, depression, life changes, and relationship issues. Her experience includes treating bipolar conditions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and personality disorders.
As an advocate for mental health, Nancy is conversant with the community resources that are available to meet the unique needs of individuals and population groups such as the LGBTQ community. Her work has included private practice, and she has extensive experience working in a specialized educational setting addressing the needs of adolescents from underserved communities.
Nancy’s educational background includes a BA degree in psychology and art, with an emphasis on art therapy, from Barat College in Lake Forest, IL. She also received an AM degree in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago. Her continuing professional growth includes two fellowships at the University of Chicago in contextual behavior therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She has extensive training in the area of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Nancy enjoys hiking, movement that includes Pilates and swimming, art galleries, and playing with her two cats. Nancy is pleased to be a member of the Inspire Counseling Center team and to have the opportunity to assist clients with self-exploration and the accomplishment of goals based on their personal values.
