I am a North Shore native and, after living all over the country, I moved back to the area with my husband to raise our family. I know first-hand about the joys, stresses, and challenges of growing up on the North Shore and I have extensive experience navigating these communities as a mom. I have had many life transitions, spending nearly a decade in the corporate world before becoming a stay-at-home mother, community volunteer, and yoga teacher. I am currently a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s student at Northwestern University.
I am passionate about helping clients develop coping skills, improve their well-being, increase empowerment, and improve their relationships and connections. I believe in creating a non-judgmental, anti-racist, and LGBTQIA+ affirming environment. I use an eclectic approach based on each client’s unique needs, pulling from psychodynamic, solution-focused, and family-systems theories. As a former yoga teacher, I also strongly believe in the power of the mind/body connection. Using a collaborative and supportive approach, I help individuals and families share their struggles, feel validated, identify goals, and develop a treatment plan to enhance their overall well-being.
I work with a diverse population of clients, with a special focus on supporting parents of gender non-conforming children and adolescents.
In my free time I enjoy traveling with my family (preferably to the mountains for hiking or skiing), spending time with friends, exercising, and going on a date night with my husband. My new favorite way to unwind is listening to a human interest podcast while needlepointing.
