Nikkie specializes in working with adolescents who are struggling with a transition, anxiety, COVID-related anxiety, low-self esteem, eating disorders, depression, poor communication skills and difficulty connecting and making friends.
Nikkie grew up in Deerfield and understands the challenges adolescents and adults face to fit in, meet expectations, and be the best. She is EMDR trained, which gives her unique tool to help process painful, frightening and traumatic experience.

She loves this community, and is committed to giving back. In fact, Nikkie has volunteered more than 7 years leading small groups for girls to empower them to live their best lives, spiritually, emotionally, and relationally.
Nikkie specializes in working with adolescents who are struggling with a transition, anxiety, low self-esteem, depression, poor communication skills, and difficulty connecting and making friends. She strives to create a comfortable, safe, empowering, and creative environment where her clients can work towards their unique and individual goals.
Prior to private practice, Nikkie served adolescents in a top eating disorder residential programs, Center for Discovery in Glenview. There, she provided therapy for girls struggling with eating disorders, low self-esteem, poor body image, life skills and assertiveness training. She also provided crisis evaluation and therapy for inpatient care for adolescents and families at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital .
As a EMDR trained therapist, Nikkie has special techniques to treat painful, frightening, and traumatic memories.
Her personal faith and spiritual journey also allow her to provide faith-based counseling to clients, upon request. (Note: Inspire is proud to serve ALL faiths. We respect all beliefs and will not offer faith-based counseling unless requested by the client.)
In her spare time, Nikkie loves spending time with her husband, precious baby boy, and their two rescue pups.
