Lauren Schifferdecker, MA, LCPC

CEO, Owner and TEDx Speaker

Lauren founded Inspire to support the community she loves. She grew up in Northbrook and moved back with her college sweetheart to start her family and business in her hometown.

Lauren started her career in the corporate world, marketing at one of the top public relations firms in the world. She combines her smart business practices, and love of therapy, to ensure each guest at Inspire has an excellent experience.

In addition to her love of business and therapy, Lauren is a professional speaker, including a TEDx talk.   She has been invited to several businesses, leadership, networking, moms groups, and churches to share clinical tools and research, to entertain groups, and inspire change in the community she loves.

When you are a guest at Inspire, Lauren wants you to feel safe, cared for, and valued–from your first call to your last appointment. From the spa-like music and decor to the warmth and excellent care from each therapist–it is all designed to create a healing place to thrive.

To make sure each guest receives the most excellent experience, Lauren is committed to making sure each therapist loves their job. She invests in the staff with an abundance of support, beautiful space, connection, generous compensation, and fun. These things have allowed her to create a “Rockstar Team” and the highest caliber of counselors for the community.

While Lauren’s focus on perfecting the business, has kept her client load quite limited, she is very involved in the support offered by her therapists.

She grew up in Northbrook, attended Christian Heritage Academy (k-8), Glenbrook North, and the University of Illinois. She is now raising her own family here in Northbrook and deeply committed and involved in the community. She is very involved and volunteers with her Women’s Guild at St. Norbert. Lauren loves the North Shore and will give talks, provide input, and advertises as a way to support this community she loves.

Lauren’s personal interests: Laughing with friends, watching her two grade-school-age kids sports, dinner date nights with her college-sweetheart husband, and reading about neuroscience.
