Emotional Intelligence & Confidence Coaching

Emotional intelligence is widely considered the biggest predictor for success–in relationships and in business. It’s linked to higher salaries and increased relationship satisfaction.

What is Emotional Intelligence? The Harvard Business Review defines it as an individual’s ability to accurately recognize, understand and manage their own emotions as well as that of others. In other words, emotionally intelligent individuals are good at reading into people’s emotions and choosing an appropriate reaction accordingly.

What is Emotional Intelligence Coaching? Together, with a licensed counselor, you will improve your self-awareness, self-regulation, empathy, social skills, and confidence.

IEP Advocacy – Consulting Services

We know IEPs (Individualized Educational Plans) can be complex and at times feel overwhelming to understand and advocate for your child. We have experience in schools, and experience navigating the IEP process.

We can have someone review the IEP your child received, or we can do a school observation and attend the IEP meeting with you.

Exposure Coaching

Phobias, or fears of something specific, can limit your life. Phobias include fear of elevators, fear of parking garages, fear of public transportation, fear of throwing up, fear of flying, and more.

It can be helpful to work outside the office with a trained clinical professional to get immediate support and feedback in a real setting. If you chose to do exposure coaching, you and a professional will create a gradual and safe plan to help reduce or eliminate the fear of an object, action, or place.

Divorce/Family Reunification

If you’re going through a divorce or are struggling with relationships between parents and children after the divorce, we can help. A trained therapist can work with you to create a practical guide for divorced parents, which will substantially reduce the stress and any negative effects the divorce can have on your children and family. The therapist can also guide meetings between children and parents, to ultimately reunify relationships for healing and new beginnings.

We have experience with the court system, attorneys, custody issues, GAL (guardian ad litem). Our therapists love to support families thrive through this transition.

Divorce Mediation

If you’ve decided to get divorced, we can help you protect your family’s money, time, and emotional well-being with a certified Divorce Mediator, from Northwestern University.

Divorce mediation puts the family’s well-being as the top priority. The process is quick, affordable, and helps parents to find common ground. The process is designed to save you time in court, back and forth with attorneys, headaches, arguments and most importantly saves money for your kids and family.

With your Divorce Mediator at our private office, you can create a “Parenting Agreement,”  “Memorandum of Understanding” and a financial plan for your next chapter. Once these plans are in place, you can execute your divorce and begin a fresh, new start for your family, and move forward.

Life Skills Coaching

Does someone in your life need support with daily living skills?

Our professionals can help in learning how to Uber, use the Metra system, ordering coffee, navigating social cues in public places, learning job skills, applying to jobs, writing a resume, and more.

We can help provide hands-on support in situations in the real places and locations necessary.

Community Safety Skills – Consulting

This is a consulting service for special needs clients who need coaching out in the community to learn how to safely navigate their community. We can come to your community and teach life skills and community safety skills. This plan can be tailored to your unique needs. Our clinical director, Becky Freeman-Murray, is not only trained in Safety Care but is actually a Certified Safety Care Trainer herself. She has worked with clients in the community at Clearbrook for nearly a decade.
