Through helping take care of her younger siblings, Brittany found an understanding for the importance of meeting kids on their level. She has demonstrated this throughout her experience as a service coordinator for the state of Illinois’ Early Intervention program, and again through her clinical work at a therapeutic day school. Later on, Brittany found a passion for working with college age and young adults through clinical work. Brittany focuses on creating a nonjudgmental and understanding space for her clients to feel comfortable sharing their unique stories.
Brittany was driven to psychology through modeling from her grandmother who, during her own emotional and social struggles, showed Brittany what it meant to support and understand someone even when others couldn’t or wouldn’t. She understands the importance of having someone like that in our lives and the difference that type of person can make.
Brittany knows the importance of going at the client’s speed. Through trying to create a safe and warm space she understands that therapy is a place for the client to do with as they need. Brittany knows the importance of feeling understood and having someone to support them in times of stress and challenge.
For Fun
Brittany loves spending her free time with her fiancé and their French bulldog, Bleu.
Together they enjoy playing Animal Crossing on the Nintendo Switch, taking long walks through the Chicago Botanic Garden and spending time with their families. They are currently working their way through all of the Marvel movies in order! Brittany also enjoys knitting and crocheting (something she learned from her grandmother) and listening to true crime and drama podcasts.
